Fees & Payments

• Tuition fees must be paid on time and by the agreed payment date.

• Fees are non-refundable.

• Missed classes are still chargeable and cannot be refunded.

• If a student is unable to attend class, please notify the studio as soon as possible.

• Continued non-payment of fees may result in suspension from classes until payments are up

to date.

• If a session cannot go ahead due to dance events such as competitions or performances,

refunds will not be issued.

• No refunds will be given for dancers unable to attend competitions or events they have

already committed to.

• Additional costs for uniforms, performances, competitions, workshops, conventions, exams,

or travel may apply and will be communicated in advance.

Class Expectations

• Arrive on time and ready for class.

• Wear the correct dance attire and footwear.

• Follow teacher instructions at all times.

• Bring positive energy and a good attitude to class.

• No jewellery should be worn during class.

• Attendance is important, and classes should only be missed due to illness, school

commitments, or exceptional circumstances.

Health & Safety

• Inform the studio of any injuries, allergies, medical conditions, or additional needs.

• If a dancer is injured or unwell, the studio may restrict participation for health and safety reasons.

Parent & Guardian Expectations

• Support a positive and respectful studio culture.

• Raise concerns privately and respectfully with staff.

• Please do not contact staff on studio closed days or after 9:30pm on teaching days unless

urgent.

• Ensure children are prepared and arrive on time for classes.

• Collect students promptly at the end of classes and events.

• Communicate effectively with the studio and teachers.

• Support your child’s learning, development, and commitment to dance.

• Ensure all fees are paid on time.

• Show kindness and support towards other dancers and families within the studio

community.

At Muse Dance Studios, our competition teams are built on dedication, professionalism,

teamwork, respect, and commitment. Being part of a competition team is a privilege and

requires dancers and families to fully commit to the expectations outlined below. Our goal is

to create a positive, hardworking, and supportive environment where every dancer can thrive

individually and as part of a team. These requirements and values are imperative to the

success, growth, and morale of our competition teams.

Commitment & Attendance

• Competition dancers are expected to show full commitment to their team, teachers, and

fellow dancers throughout the season.

• Teamwork is extremely important. Every dancer plays a vital role within routines,

rehearsals, and performances.

• Dancers must attend a minimum of 3 out of the 4 squad classes in order to remain a

member of the Muse Dance studios competition Teams.

• Technique classes are compulsory for all competition dancers and must be attended

weekly.

• Attendance at rehearsals, extra practices, red zone sessions, competitions, and performances

is mandatory unless agreed otherwise by the studio.

• Red zone sessions before competitions are compulsory and designed to ensure routines and

dancers are performance-ready

Competition Commitment

• Competition dates will be sent out at the beginning of the season and dancers are expected

to commit to these events in advance.

• Families must keep the entire competition weekend available, as exact schedules are not

released by competition organisers until approximately 2–3 weeks before the event.

• Once a dancer has committed to a competition, they may not withdraw due to schedules,

timings, or inconvenience once timetables are released.

• If a dancer withdraws after committing, competition entry fees, and related payments will

not be refunded.

• Repeated withdrawals, lack of commitment, missed sessions, may place a dancer’s position

on the team at risk.

Team Standards & Behaviour

• Dancers are expected to arrive on time, prepared, and with a positive attitude.

• Respect must always be shown towards teachers, teammates, parents, studio staff, and other

dance schools.

• Negative behaviour, gossip, bullying, or poor sportsmanship will not be tolerated.

• Competition dancers are representatives of Muse Dance Studios both inside and outside of the studio.

Costumes, Fees & Expenses

• Parents/guardians understand that additional costs will apply throughout the season,

including costumes, competition entries, travel, workshops, conventions, and teamwear.

• Costume decisions are made by the studio and choreographers to suit routines, themes, and

overall presentation.

• Parents and dancers are expected to respect these creative decisions and should not argue or

complain about these choices.

• All fees must be paid by the deadlines given to avoid routines being withdrawn from

competitions.

Parent & Guardian Expectations

• Parents/guardians are expected to support the team environment positively and respectfully.

• Communication with staff should remain professional and respectful at all times.

• Parents should ensure dancers attend classes, rehearsals, and competitions fully prepared

and on time.

• Parents are expected to support not only their own child, but also the wider Muse Dance Team community.

Social Media & Choreography

• Competition choreography, music edits, concepts, and routine footage must not be shared

publicly before competitions unless approved by the studio.

• Dancers and families must not post choreography on social media without permission from

Muse Dance Studios.

• Competition solos, duos, trios, or routines choreographed by Muse Dance Studios may not

be performed at outside events, showcases, or competitions without prior permission from the

studio.

• Respect for choreographers’ creative work is expected at all times.

Disciplinary Action

• Failure to meet attendance requirements, commitment expectations, payment deadlines,

behavioural standards, or team policies may result in:

• Warnings

• Removal from routines

• Suspension from competitions

• Loss of position within the Muse Dance Teams
